Perceived Happiness
So, you know the saying " A mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child?
Well, that must be my motto because it has been true for me since the birth of my very first child. Now, I am an intelligent, very capable person, so it really makes no sense that I can barely breathe when one of my "younguns" has a problem. The other day, I was expressing this theory to our sweet Rachel, when out of the blue she said, "Mom, why don't you be as happy as your happiest child?" We are all doing great! Well, not to make light of my years of misery, but that made a lot of sense. So, my new resolution is to focus on the light. Thank you, sweet Rachel, for the gentle punch.... I needed it!
